So...upon reflection I would like to make a few observations regarding this last weekend's CKC trial results. We had 6 competing teams that are members of this Club. Cathy and Kiya, myself and Griffin, Diane and Sevi, Suzanne and Foghorn, Krista and Colt, Kelsi and Bailey with the following results:
Kiya - new utility title.
Griffin - new utility title.
Sevi - new open title.
Foghorn - new open title.
Colt - new open title
Bailey - new novice title
Associate member Ann and Taylor got a novice pass too!
Maria and Chester who train with us got multiple passes working towards their Grand MOTCH.
What this says to me that in this club we don't just talk the talk, we walk the walk! As head trainer of this Club, I would like to acknowlege the skills and dedication of our volunteer instructors. Each one of them shares their expertise every week with our students whether they aspire to trial or not. Thank you each and every instructor and helper - you are GREAT! You make our Club GREAT!
If anyone reading this wants to trial in Obedience and/or Rally - just let your instructor know and we wI'll do everything we can to see that you are helped with your goal!
Finally, let me say again how proud I am of the accomplishments of our students this last weekend! WOW!
Hi Diane,
I just wanted to send the club an update on Bryn and Drover. We are in the
middle of a big move to Saskatchewan, where we will be living next door to
my Mother, Gloria Graham (Marions Daughter). Gloria has already lined up
training opportunities and upcoming shows, where Grandma and Bryn can train
and compete together.
I just wanted you all to know that Bryn has really enjoyed her time with the
club, and is very excited to take it to the next level. She has been working
with Drover on the fundamentals and has learned to be much more assertive
with him, and it shows. I'm sure you will see her one day at a trial, as my
Mother tends to bring dogs to Hope, Chilliwack and Cobble Hill annually.
Thank you so much for allowing such a young person to become involved. If
her enthusiasm and forward progress continue, she may be one of the
fortunate who have the option of turning their hobby into their career; we
should all have such wonderful possibilities....
With Deep Appreciation,
Candace Truelove
