Hi Everybody! We hope all is well and everyone has survived the Covid 19 summer so far! We have our fingers crossed that maybe before the end of the year we might be able to get back into the training hall!
For the time being, we are starting a beginners and a brush up class outside on the fair grounds starting this Wednesday the 22nd of July. All the beginner and brush up people have been contacted to see if they are wanting to come back and train outdoors. We are practicing social distancing and will have hand sanitizers on site. Masks are optional, as instructors will not be able to wear them and teach.
We wanted to let you all know that for the time being we are not going to be offering Rally-O or Open or Utility. We are not able to get into the hall to get all of the equipment in and out each week.
We are aware that we do owe most of you a little bit of you class fees back from the last session that had to be cut short and we intend to refund it to you, or hold it to be put towards future classes if and when we get back to training. Please contact someone at the club if you would rather have a refund.
The Cowichan Dog Obedience Training Club or COWN has been in existence since 1952.
Our classes will be taking place in the new barn, on the Cobble Hill Fair Grounds, on Fisher Road.
Address : Stu Armour Barn 1438 Fisher Road Cobble Hill
Our club is made up of volunteers who have organized classes to train not only their own dogs but to also teach dog classes for the general public. We offer both obedience and rally classes.
We are dedicated to working with dog owners to help them train and enjoy a successful working partnership with their dogs. We welcome both purebred and mixed breed dogs and humans of all ages.
We offer three 8 week training sessions in both rally and obedience throughout the year. Classes take place on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Sessions begin in September, February and April/May.
